Bhate Geosciences (BHATE) received an Excellence in Construction Merit Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama for the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Bessemer. This project was honored for its unique design and construction needs and site challenges that were overcome to deliver a successful robotic technology distribution center to Amazon and the developer Seefried Properties. BHATE provided geotechnical engineering, GPR structural scans, construction materials testing, pavement design and slope monitoring, among other services.
BHATE worked on other projects that were honored including Children’s of Alabama Lee Building & Parking Deck, the Birmingham Airport Rental Car Quick Turn Around Facilities, UAB Proton Center, Birmingham Central Business District I20/59 Bridge Replacement, CIE Wire and Cable, Thurlow Dam Spillway Gate Replacement, Camp Vakakes Chapel and Trinity United Methodist Church Expansion.
