The Sheffield Group New Office

Set to Open Soon

Construction of The Sheffield Group’s new office has wrapped up with the move-in date scheduled for July 30, 2018.  The three-story, 40,000 square foot facility is set to serve as the company’s new headquarters which will allow all employees to work under the same roof as well as providing health and wellness amenities for all employees.  The new office building is designed to incorporate the views of the surrounding lake and park through large windows and glass panes, covered patios and balconies and large plazas. The design also includes a large dining space for meals and hosting clients. The ground floor will also house a boutique fitness center – Static Fit.

In 2016, BHATE Geosciences initiated the field work for this exciting project by conducting a detailed geotechnical investigation and evaluation of the site.  Because the site was located in a complex geology known to have erratic subsurface conditions, it was paramount that BHATE work closely with the design and construction team to develop and implement the appropriate foundation and subgrade stabilization design for the project.

Charles Burgin, P.E., P.G., Senior Principal and BHATE staff worked closely with Sheffield Realty (Developer), TurnerBatson (Architect) and JohnsonKries Construction (Contractor) in construction of this building.  BHATE provided all geotechnical consultation, construction materials testing and special inspections on this project.   We are excited to have been a part of a great team and a great project that we hope will benefit Sheffield Group for many years to come.
