As part of their Phase II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), our client requested that BHATE Geosciences attempt to verify the landowner’s claim that the underground storage tanks (USTs) that were historically located on the property had been previously removed.
Using ground penetrating radar (GPR), we were able to identify four USTs that were still located on the property and had not been removed. The findings from our investigation allowed our client to make an informed decision on whether or not to proceed with the redevelopment of the property.
Additionally, this information allowed them to budget appropriately so as to not be caught off-guard by unexpected costs during construction.
